Robin Morris-Jones

 

Robin qualified in law before completing his CQSW and obtaining a postgraduate diploma in social work. He worked for over 25 years in a number of probation areas leaving in 1999 to join the Cognitive Centre.

He was then an Assistant Chief Officer but had extensive experience of delivering and managing intervention programmes for high-risk offenders in different areas. He was involved in the first pilot which introduced risk assessments into the service and has subsequently been involved in research projects assessing the validity of such instruments.

Since joining the company Robin has trained extensively with many different organisations in the UK, the Channel Islands ,The Isle of Man and S Ireland and has worked in Sweden, Switzerland, Singapore and  Australia. He is the author of the "Firesafe" programme used by over 20 fire and rescue services in the UK.

He has strong links with many of the leading academics in the field and is an expert trainer in the use of the LSI-R (Level of Service Inventory-Revised) and an approved trainer for many other assessments such as the HCR-20, RSVP, SARA, BE-SAFER and SAM

In 2005 he became a director of the centre and in 2008 took the helm as Managing Director following the retirement of Peter Davies.
