Strengths And Protective Factors Assessment For Violence Risk In Youth

In assessing risk, the focus is very often on the negative factors and whilst there has been a surge of interest in assessing strengths, very little was known about the impact and effective selection of appropriate strengths. Risk assessments generally considered strengths and protective factors in a relatively limited fashion. The assessment SAPROF-YV offers an evidence based approach to the structured assessment of protective factors in order that a more balanced overall assessment can be made and a more nuanced case management plan effected.

This two day course provides participants with a more in depth understanding of 16 protective factors that have been associated with effective interventions and leads to certification of use of the assessment by Robin Morris-Jones, who is a preferred and approved UK SAPROF-YV trainer, based here in Wales.
