The Youth Level of Service/Case Management Inventory™ (YLS/CMI™) is a risk/needs assessment and a case management tool combined into one convenient system derived from the Level of Service Inventory–Revised™ (LSI–R™). The YLS/CMI helps probation officers, youth workers, psychologists, and social workers identify the youth’s major needs, strengths, barriers, and incentives; select the most appropriate goals for him or her; and produce an effective case management plan.
The Youth Level of Service/Case Management Inventory 2.0 (YLS/CMI 2.0™) is a gender-informed, culturally-informed, strengths-focused risk/needs tool that reliably and accurately classifies and predicts re-offending within male and female juvenile populations.
Created for both genders, the YLS/CMI 2.0 includes new features to address needs of a growing adolescent offender population:
The training schedule is 2 days and includes full background and theoretical information, a full explanation of the items and opportunities to practice with case studies. The training aims to equip participants with the skills necessary to undertake these assessments as part of their work.
